This time I came to Fengxian for a short self driving tour, and when I was making a guide, I immediately fell in love with Nanjiao Hotel Shanghai. It took me three whole days to discover that this is definitely a treasure trove for Fengxian's core area to maximize transportation convenience and surrounding recreational resources.
The transportation configuration of the hotel is completely at the level of "self driving public transportation double hanging". It only takes ten minutes to drive along Fengpu Avenue after getting off the S4 highway from downtown Shanghai. There are almost no congested sections throughout the journey, which is shorter than commuting to many suburban scenic spots. The hotel comes with nearly a thousand free exclusive parking spaces, which are spacious and neatly planned. Even during holidays and peak hours, there is no need to rush for a spot. After parking, you don't have to waste time searching for a parking space when going to nearby attractions. Public transportation is also particularly convenient. There is a bus stop just a 5-minute walk from the hotel entrance, and you can transfer to Shanghai Metro Line 5 directly to the city center. Even without driving, you can easily travel back and forth between Fengxian and the city center, without worrying about not being able to get a taxi for the return journey.
Draw a circle around the hotel, and within a radius of 3 kilometers, there are all the core leisure landmarks in Fengxian. Walking west for 10 minutes outside is the "Shanghai Fish" Jinhai Lake Scenic Area. Riding along the greenway around the lake, the wind on the surface of the lake is wrapped in the fragrance of plants and trees, and the sunset in the evening falls on the water surface with scattered gold. Every casual snap is a big atmosphere. 15 minutes to the south is Guhua Park. The pavilions and waterside pavilions of Jiangnan classical gardens are hidden in the fireworks in the old city. There are few people and people are quiet. It is not necessary to crowd the Yu Garden in the city to take a picture of the authentic Chinese garden scenery.
It's not difficult to go to farther scenic spots. It takes only 20 minutes by car to reach the Gulf National Forest Park. In spring, you can see plum blossoms, in summer, lotus flowers, and in autumn, redwood trees. You don't have to rush long distances in the morning and dark. You can sleep in and leisurely go out just in time for the best sightseeing time in the scenic area. It only takes 25 minutes to get to Fengxian Bihai Jinsha, where you can step on the sand and watch the sea and sunset. In the evening, you can go back to the hotel to wash away the sea salt smell, without having to squeeze into a homestay by the seaside. Even the Fengxian Museum and Jiukeshu Future Art Center, which are well-known to locals, are within a 15 minute drive, so there is no need to rush to see exhibitions or attend concerts.
The most satisfying thing is the local food circle that can be easily reached. Just take a turn outside the hotel and you'll find the local time-honored food street in Fengxian, where freshly cooked Zhuangxing lamb, authentic Fengxian flatbread, and fresh peach stewed chicken can be found without searching for internet famous restaurants. You can enjoy the most authentic local flavors downstairs. After strolling through the night view of Jinhai Lake at night, you can walk back to the hotel without having to wait for a taxi.
During the few days I stayed at Nanjiao Hotel Shanghai, I never had any worries about travel. I didn't have to waste time commuting across districts, so I could focus more energy on the lake and sea breeze in Fengxian. Choosing this hotel in Fengxian is like putting Fengxian's transportation network and core entertainment circle in your pocket, as you want to have a worry free and enjoyable time.Show more
This time, I came to Fengxian with my family to see the plum blossom exhibition at the Bay Forest Park, and specifically chose Nanjiao Hotel Shanghai. I stole a few days of slow time in Fengxian's garden
This time, my family and I came to Fengxian to see the plum blossom exhibition at the Bay Forest Park. We specifically chose to stay at the Nanjiao Hotel in Shanghai. From the moment I stepped in, I knew that this short trip away from the city had chosen the right place.
The location of the hotel is hidden in the greenery of Fengxian. It takes more than 40 minutes to drive from the city center to the S4 highway, so there is no need to get stuck in the traffic in the city center. Surrounded by attractions such as Shanghai Fish and Guhua Park, it takes over 20 minutes by car to go to Haiwan Forest Park to see the flower sea, eliminating the need for long trips in the morning and evening. The most surprising thing is that the hotel comes with a large free parking lot, with spacious and ample parking spaces. You can drop off your luggage and go to the lobby without having to take a detour to find a parking spot.
As soon as I walked into the hotel park, I was greeted by nearly 400 acres of Chinese style garden scenery. Pavilions and water pavilions were hidden between camphor trees and weeping willows, water lilies floated on the artificial lake surface, and black swans swam slowly across the water. It didn't feel like staying in a city hotel, but rather like accidentally entering a private garden hidden in the southern suburbs of Shanghai. The front desk service was particularly attentive when checking in. Upon learning that we were bringing elderly people and children for an outing, they specially arranged a low floor room by the lake for us. In order to prevent the children from getting bored, they also gave us free children's toys and cartoon toiletries. Even the nearby hiking routes were clearly marked for us.
The garden view room I am staying in has a spacious and transparent space. When I open the window, I am greeted by lush greenery. The wind carries the fragrance of plants and trees into the room, and even the air is fresher than in the city. The hygiene details of the room were particularly well done, with every corner spotless and the bedding soft yet not collapsing. After strolling through the flower sea all day and lying on the bed, most of my fatigue dissipated. The most satisfying aspect for the elderly is the layout of the room, which is spacious and not cramped. The anti slip floor and stable armrest design make it easy for the elderly to walk and stumble.
The hotel's facilities are far more abundant than I expected. The indoor temperature controlled swimming pool has clean water quality, allowing you to relax for half an hour. The 24-hour gym is fully equipped, allowing you to maintain your daily exercise habits even when on vacation. There is also a dedicated parent-child playground in the park, where children can run, jump, play and have fun all afternoon without shouting tired. We adults can sit on benches by the lake, basking in the sun and leisurely drinking tea and chatting. The restaurant of the hotel also gave us a great surprise. Our dishes are authentic and delicious, Braised pork belly with thick oil and red sauce is fat but not greasy, and even Fengxian yellow peach desserts with local characteristics are sweet and refreshing.
In the past few days at the Nanjiao Hotel, we didn't have to rush to the scenic spots. We slowly strolled through the gardens of the park, watching the sunset set on the lake with broken gold and listening to the rustling sound of the wind passing through the leaves. Even the tense nerves of ordinary days were completely relaxed. Having stayed in so many hotels in Shanghai, it's rare to come across a place that strikes a perfect balance between natural greenery and comfort. The next time I go hiking in Fengxian, I will definitely return here and steal a few more leisurely days. From the moment I stepped into the door, I knew that this short trip away from the city had chosen the right place.
